GETTING RID OF SELF-DOUBT
People who achieve a goal and maintain it generally follow very disciplined practices. They have mastered the skill of getting rid of self-doubt and by persevering. It gets easier to push self-doubt aside the more they practice.
SUCCESS TIPS TO GET RID OF SELF-DOUBT
- Associate positive feelings to EACH STEP YOU NEED TO DO. Think of the result you WILL achieve.
- Decide and believe that achieving (goal) is the only alternative.
- Have a daily plan to achieve your goal. Do something every day towards it and tick it on your list to show yourself you are moving forward towards
- Share your goal with others who will encourage you and not with those who would discourage you.
- Follow through each day on another part of your plan, even a tiny step.
- Convince yourself you WILL make it happen and see yourself as succeeding.
- Accept no alternative but that you will be successful.
- Understand there will be setbacks but never let any crisis stop you from getting quickly back on track and putting another step forward.
- Create a time plan that is achievable. Break your actions up into bite size time chunks that you know you can manage.
Being positive doesn't mean you won't feel the set-backs. It means that you focus on the forward movement and accept that the backward steps are part of that progress. It usually means that something needs considering and possibly skills are needed to be developed to get through the hurdles.
While motivation is wonderful, dedication is more essential to keep going.
"Courage is the resistance to fear, mastery of fear - not the
absence of fear."
