You'll see these sometimes called Australian Apprenticeships these days. They are a way that people can learn and earn on the job while getting recognised for their skills and gain a valuable Nationally Recognised Qualification
New Workers Traineeships
Maxwells Services provides training for Australian Apprenticeships in Eastern NSW - Distance and Flexible Work-based in Business, Administration, Marketing, Frontline Management, Hospitality, Tourism and Retail. We provide flexible opportunities for you for meeting at your workplace and other sites to build your skills
NSW GOVERNMENT "NEW WORKER TRAINEESHIPS"
Who are NEW WORKERS. They are staff who've been full-time less than 3 months or part-time less than 12 months.
These funds can be used to develop your staff and business
Through MAXWELLS SERVICES, your "new worker" staff can be recognised for their current skills and gain new skills. We provide a program to suit your workplace needs.
Benefits are:
·Financial benefits from the State Government for eligible staff
· On-the-job training saving time
·Training in areas such as customer service, goal-setting, meeting budgets, and technical skills related to staff's jobs
·Training and assessment visits booked to suit YOU
·Staff involved in helping your business succeed

Existing Worker Traineeships
Maxwells Services also provide training in NSW for Existing Workers who qualify for this program to recognise and/or enhance their skills
FEDERAL GOVERNMENT FUNDS FOR YOUR BUSINESS
EXISTING WORKERS can attract funding for your business. Who are Existing Workers? They are eligible staff who've been full-time more than 3 months or part-time more than 12 months.
They also will not have completed a qualification above Certificate III in the last seven years. They can have qualifications above Certificate III if those qualifications were achieved more than 7 years ago
These funds can be used to develop your staff and business
Through MAXWELLS SERVICES, your "existing worker" staff can be eligible to be recognised for their current skills and gain new skills.
Benefits are:
·Financial benefits from the Federal Government for eligible staff
·On-going training and recognition of existing worker's skills
·Optional workshops for staff and/or individual training
·Covering areas such as customer service, goal-setting, meeting budgets, and technical skills related to staff's jobs
·Training and assessment visits booked to suit YOU
·Staff involved in helping your business succeed
·Opportunity for you to have your own business coaching program
·Industry experienced trainers and assessors

Maxwells Services also provide training in school based traineeships.
NSW GOVERNMENT "SCHOOL-BASED TRAINEESHIPS"
School-Based Trainees are students who are still at school and enter into a traineeship as part of their school program of study at Certificate II level.
They can start their Traineeship in year 10 working 7 hours each week and extra hours in the school holidays.
Benefits are:
·A lower requirement of work hours
·A chance to develop a person over time while they are still at school
·Potential staff to fill busy times or seasonal times
·Financial benefits from the State Government for eligible staff
·On-the-job training

Study methods and Recognition of Skills
Many units are available online, while workshops are arranged in many areas and correspondence study is available for all units.
Recognition of skills (RCC & RPL) is about the experience and skills over a lifetime. We offer a recognition service for experience that fits the criteria of units you would like to gain recognition for. Contact us for an Application for Recognition of Skills and Experience in these areas.
